County Commissioner
Joe Jaynes has announced that he is
joining the Collin County law firm
of Gibbs Nolte Robison Rose PLLC.
Located in McKinney, Gibbs Nolte
Robison Rose PLLC represents
individuals and businesses
throughout the Collin County area in
family law, criminal defense,
personal injury, estate planning and
employment law, as well as civil
litigation matters.
The firm's website is
www.mckinneylaw.com.
Jaynes said that two of his major
goals coming into
office were the expansion of SH 121
and US 75. "SH121 is completed and
the contract for US 75 has been
awarded and will begin this fall,"
Jaynes said.
Jaynes also listed other major
accomplishments during his tenure,
"We have one of the lowest county
tax rates, AAA bond rating, a
year's worth of reserves, three bond
elections while lowering taxes,
while at the same time we have over
$2 billion worth of road
construction underway and a new
courthouse."
However, Jaynes says he is most
proud of two things: the
aggressive preservation of open
space throughout the county and
increased funding to the county's
volunteer fire departments.
"The men and women who serve in the
volunteer fire departments are
true heroes. Setting up the
scholarship fund so they would
not have to pay for their own
training was one of the best things
we ever did," Jaynes stated.
"It really increased their
efficiency and performance."
