MCKINNEY, TEXAS – A
groundbreaking ceremony and reception
kicked off construction of Methodist
McKinney Hospital. The new hospital will
be located on the northeast corner of
Eldorado Parkway and Stonebridge Drive
in the Stonebridge Ranch residential
community in McKinney. More than 100
hospital supporters attended the festive
kickoff, including local dignitaries
McKinney City Manager Frank Ragan and
Assistant City Manager Reggie Neff, and
several city council members.
Following an invocation by Rev. Terri
Swan, associate pastor at Stonebridge
United Methodist Church in McKinney,
remarks were made by Leslie Barden,
senior vice president of Marketing and
Strategic Planning for Methodist Health
System in Dallas; Dr. Vuhdi Slabisak, a
McKinney orthopedic surgeon and chairman
of the Methodist McKinney Hospital
Board; Dr. Stephen L. Mansfield,
president and CEO of Methodist Health
System; and Daniel Tasset, chairman of
Nueterra Healthcare in Leawood, KS. |

“This is an especially exciting time for
me and my physician colleagues,” said
Dr. Slabisak. “This project began more
than two years ago and has included
dozens of physicians, who share a common
vision – to not only expand medical
services in McKinney, but provide these
services in a patient-and
wellness-focused environment.
We truly seek to provide residents of
McKinney and Collin County with superior
health care. By partnering with
Methodist Health System and Nueterra
Healthcare, this vision will soon become
a reality.”
